Yummy

A great product. 1 serving is massive and too big for me. The texture is nothing like the usual unhealthy pancakes and they are not very fluffy at all but they taste amazing and are so filling. Definitely buying this again.

Yum

First time I've tried protein pancakes. Quite nice, good flavour, ok texture. I would suggest using less milk than recommended, I found my first batch was thin and stuck to the pan but with thicker batch turned out fine.

How do you cook True Protein pancakes?

True Protein pancakes have a general cooking suggestion on the back of the pancake packaging. Mix 2 Large TP Scoops with 100mL of milk of your choice, add 1 whole egg and shake to mix. We suggest using our True Protein shaker to mix your pancake mix thoroughly to remove any lumps which may form from the mix. Once blended pour into a heated pan. Once bubbles appear on the surface of the pancakes, flip and cook until golden brown. Can you taste the protein powder in the pancakes?

True Protein pancakes main ingredient is WPC80 whey protein concentrate in mouth-watering signature all-natural flavour French Vanilla. You can take your True Protein pancakes to the next level by adding protein yoghurt on top, guilt-free maple syrup, lemon slices, cacao nibs or frozen berries. We suggest chopping up a banana and adding honey to top your pancakes. The possibilities are endless with True Protein pancake, get creative.

Can I use alternative milk in the True Protein pancake mix?

True Protein pancake mix has been designed with various intolerances and preferences in mind. The general serving suggestion on the True Protein pancake packaging advises adding 100mL of milk to the dry mixture. This is not restricting however, as a range of nut milks, such as almond, cashew, walnut and macadamia milks, coconut milks, soy milk and lactose-free blends have been trialled and enjoyed with the True Protein pancake mix.

How many pancakes per serving?

On the back of the True Protein pancake packaging the 60g recommended serving suggestion makes around 4-5 pancakes. If you decide to add further ingredients to the True Protein dry pancake mix, such as mashed banana or protein oats, the final number of pancakes will alter. Also keep in mind the size of you pancakes. If you prefer thicker fluffy pancakes you will find that your final pancake amount will be reduced.

Is the macronutrient content inclusive of the egg and the milk needing to be added?

The macronutrient content in True Protein pancake blend has been calculated in the dry mix only. Any additional ingredients or substitutions made to the dry mix is difficult to calculate because everyone enjoys their pancakes differently with toppings and milk and egg substitutions.

Is there an alternative for adding egg to True Protein pancake blend?

True Protein pancake has a serving suggestion which does indicate the use of adding an egg to the dry mixture. However, if you do suffer from an allergy or intolerance, the pancake mix can be easily substituted for 1 tbsp of chia seeds mixed with 3 tbsp of water. Once the chia seeds have been activated by the water after 15 minutes, the consistency of the water and chia seed mix mimics that of an egg and can provide an added healthy protein hit the True Protein pancake blend.

Can I eat True Protein pancakes on their own?
