Apple Strudel

Makes 6

Prep time: 15 minutes

Baking time: 45 minutes

Ingredients

600g can apple pie filling
¼ cup sultanas
2 tsp cinnamon
30g True Plant Protein in French Vanilla
6 sheets filo
3 Tbsp butter, melted
Icing sugar (optional)

Method

  1. Preheat a fan forced oven to 180c. In a mixing bowl add the apple, sultanas, cinnamon and Vegan85 French Vanilla powder. Mix until well combined

  2. On a clean, dry tea-towel lay a sheet of the filo and brush with some of the melted butter. Lay another sheet on top and repeat until you have used all the filo

  3. Pile the apple filling along the length of the filo with 3cm from the edge. Roll the filo over the filling. Once half rolled, tuck the ends in and then continue to roll, leaving an encased strudel

  4. Brush the remaining butter over the strudel. Place on a tray lined with baking paper. Cooking in the oven for 45minutes

  5. Serve immediately with a dusting of icing sugar​
