Solid towel for daily training. The microfibre weave is noticeably thinner and lighter than a cotton gym towel, so it packs down small and doesn't weigh down a gym bag. Absorbency is genuinely good — it soaks up sweat quickly and dries fast between sets, which is the main reason I'd pick it over a cotton one.
The sage colour is a muted, neutral green and hides sweat marks well; no bleeding or fading after washing. Stitching around the edges feels durable and hasn't frayed.
Two things holding it back from a five-star review:
- Slippery when wet. The smooth microfibre surface doesn't grip the bench or bar the way a cotton towel does, so it shifts around when used as a bench or grip towel.
- Thin hand-feel. If you like a plush, cushioned towel, this feels a bit papery. It's a performance towel, not a comfort towel.
I'd recommend it for anyone who trains regularly and wants something compact and quick-drying. If you want a towel that doubles as padding on a bench, go for the standard cotton Gym Towel instead.
