How to Make Cherry and Apple Crumble

  • Ingredients

    Filling

    • 3 large red apples, cored and cut into bite-sized pieces
    • 500 g frozen cherries
    • 2 tbsp brown sugar
    • 2 tsp lime juice

    Crumble Topping

  • Instructions

    1. Preheat the oven to 170°C.
    2. Lightly grease a 20 × 20 cm baking dish.
    3. In a large bowl, combine the apples, frozen cherries, brown sugar and lime juice. Mix well, then spread evenly into the prepared baking dish.
    4. In a separate bowl, add the rolled oats, plain flour, vanilla protein powder, cubed butter and coconut oil.
    5. Using your hands, gently rub the mixture together until it resembles wet sand.
    6. Evenly sprinkle the crumble topping over the fruit.
    7. Bake for 45–50 minutes, or until the topping is golden and crisp and the fruit is bubbling around the edges. Allow to cool for 15 minutes before serving.
