Chocolate Protein Bites

There are some days when you just need a little chocolatey treat to put a smile on your face and to keep you going.  May as well make it healthy as well and these Chocolate Protein Bites will do just the trick!  They are so easy to make and will keep for a couple of weeks in the fridge.

Ingredients

1/2 cup True Organic Raw Cacao Powder
1/4 cup cacao butter (if you don’t have cacao butter you can use all coconut oil, they won’t set quite as firm though)
1/4 cup coconut oil
2-3 tbsp of rice malt syrup or maple syrup (depending on how sweet you like it, or if you use a sweetened protein powder)
3 tbsp nut butter
1/4 cup True Whey Protein Concentrate in French Vanilla or Rich Chocolate
pinch of salt
pinch of True Organic Vanilla Powder
True Organic Chia Seeds for topping

Method

1. In a small saucepan over low heat, melt the cacao butter and coconut oil.

2. Add the sweetener and nut butter and combine well with a whisk or fork.

3. Add the remaining ingredients and stir to combine.

4. Pour the mixture into moulds, sprinkle with chia seeds or your topping of choice and pop into the fridge to set.

(Makes about 20 mini cups)
