Crunchy Caramel & Peanut Granola

Makes 5 cups

Prep time: 10 minutes

Baking time: 25 minutes 

210 calories (per 1/2 cup serve)

10g protein

21g carbohydrates

10g fat

 

Ingredients

 

2 cups rolled oats 

2 cups puffed rice 

1/2 cup flax seeds 

1/2 cup peanuts 

1 scoop (30g) True WPI90 in Salted Caramel 

1/2 tsp cinnamon

1/2 cup smooth natural peanut butter 

1/2 cup pure maple syrup 

2 egg whites 

 

Method

 

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan forced. 

  2. Add the oats, puffed rice, flax seeds, peanuts, protein powder and cinnamon into a large mixing bowl. 

  3. Combine until everything is evenly distributed. 

  4. In a small bowl, whisk together the peanut butter, maple syrup and egg whites.

  5. Add the wet mixture into the dry and combine well. You may need to use your hands! 

  6. Once everything is coated, place the granola onto a lined baking tray. 

  7. Bake for about 25 minutes, or until golden. Allow to cool and store in an airtight container.
