Choc Chunk Banana Bread

Makes 10 Slices

Prep time: 15 minutes

Baking time: 50-60 minutes

Macronutrients per slice:

Calories- 250

Protein- 12g

Carbohydrates- 30g

Fat- 9g

 

Ingredients:

1 cup ripe bananas, mashed (this is usually about 3 medium or 2 large) 

1 cup Greek yoghurt (I use full fat) 

1/2 cup honey 

2 eggs 

1/4 cup olive oil 

1 tsp vanilla bean paste 

1 3/4 cup whole meal self-raising flour 

2 scoops (60g) True WPI90 in Salted Caramel or Rich Chocolate 

1/2- 1 block dark chocolate, roughly chopped 

 

Method:

  1. Preheat oven to 180 degrees Celsius fan forced. 

  2. Combine all wet ingredients in a large bowl. 

  3. In a seperate medium bowl, combine the flour and protein powder. 

  4. Add the dry mixture into the wet and fold until smooth. 

  5. Stir the chocolate chunks into the batter. 

  6. Transfer the batter to a lined and greased bread tin. 

  7. Bake for 50-60 minutes, or until a skewer comes out dry when inserted. The bread should be a dark brown colour. 

  8. Allow to cool before slicing and enjoying.
