Emily McNeil

I'm passionate about health, performance, and all things sport, with a strong focus on cycling (criterium and road racing), triathlon, team sports like basketball, netball, and AFL, as well as endurance sports. I have a special interest in Low Energy Availability (LEA) and Relative Energy Deficiency in Sport (REDs), as well as eating disorders and disordered eating.

I love helping individuals achieve their goals — whether that’s integrating exercise into a balanced lifestyle or optimising performance all the way through to an elite level. My approach is compassionate and evidence-based, and I pride myself on providing individualised, inclusive nutrition support that empowers people to make sustainable changes and build a positive relationship with food.

Emily McNeil - dietitian

With a background in representative basketball and cycling, and a lifelong love for sport, I understand firsthand the demands of training and competition. I also actively race in local criterium and road events across Australia, which gives me both a personal and professional perspective on sports nutrition.

How True products fuel my health and fitness goals

I use True Protein Powder to help me meet my protein requirements on busy days, or after strength training and hard sessions on the bike to help my muscles repair and recover, allowing me to keep training.

  2. Creatine Mono

I use both of these within 30 minutes of finishing a session in the gym or a hard session on the bike.

Proudest achievement

As an athlete, competing in the ProVelo Super League in Adelaide and Melbourne 2025, and as a Dietitian, having the opportunity to educate junior athletes on fueling strategies for performance, recovery and the prevention of low energy availability and relative energy deficiency in sport.
