Salted Caramel Quinoa Puff Bars

Makes 14 bars

Prep time: 10 minutes

Setting time: 2 hours

Macros per bar:

250 calories

8g protein

19g carbohydrate

17g fat 

 

Ingredients:

4 cups puffed quinoa (can be purchased from Coles or health food stores. Rice puffs work too!) 

1 cup shredded coconut 

3/4 cup sesame seeds 

2 scoops (60g) True Protein WPI90 in Salted Caramel 

1/2 tsp cinnamon 

Pinch salt 

1/3 cup coconut oil 

1/2 cup tahini 

3/4 cup maple syrup 

1 tsp vanilla bean paste 

 

Method: 

  1. Combine all dry ingredients in a large mixing bowl. 

  2. In a small saucepan, combine the wet ingredients over medium heat. 

  3. Pour the wet over the dry mixture and combine until evenly mixed. 

  4. Press into a baking tin and allow to set in the freezer for approx. 2 hours before slicing into 14 bars. 

  5. Store in the freezer.
