Achieve Your Goal

Muscle Gain & Performance

Ensuring your body receives a regular supply of protein is essential for supporting lean muscle growth. Protein consists of amino acids which are the building blocks of muscle and allow us to build, repair and maintain muscle tissue.

Building muscle mass essentially involves the process of lifting heavier weights, tearing the muscle fibres and then rebuilding them stronger and bigger and this is where regular protein intake comes in. Current research indicates roughly 2.2g of protein per kg of body weight is required for building muscle. For an 80kg male this equates to 176g/day which equates to roughly 30g-40g per meal spread over 5 meals.

Protein can be attained from a wide range of wholefood sources such as fish, chicken, and beef as well as non-animal sources such as quinoa, green peas and nuts. Protein can also be attained in supplement form, most commonly in powders such as whey protein powder, pea protein powder or rice protein powder. These powders allow for a convenient way to add additional protein calories into your daily diet and assist with muscle building needs.

  • Faster Recovery
  • Energy Boost
  • Muscle Growth

Weight Loss & Toning

The lowest calorie way to consume protein is in a protein shake. Products such as Whey Protein Isolate have extremely low levels of carbs and fats, meaning the calories you consume are virtually pure protein. If you’re looking to minimise your caloric intake and burn any excess fat, a high protein diet is a must. Not only will a high protein diet ensure your body draws its energy from excess fat stores, it’ll also make sure you don’t feel hungry and crave unplanned cheat meals.

Nevertheless, we wouldn’t advise you rely on protein powder as your only source of protein. Rather it should be used to supplement a well-rounded diet.

Rich Chocolate

I'm always nervous before trying vegan proteins. But was pleasantly surprised. Nice to see rice/pea blend for a more rounded amino acid profile. It is smoother than one have tried in the past (i haven't tried many other brands might i add), but the more fruit ect you add the smoother it gets. Just make sure you blend it really well. I don't care for it so much by its self blended with water, but i think that would be the same with ANY vegan protein. I also prefer adding a little extra cacao to get it more chocolaty. But it doesn't smell like a gross vegan protein, and as someone who loves the taste of whey, this isnt all bad. Amazing in choc banana smoothie bowls. If it was slightly cheaper i would buy sooo much more!

Whey protein just doesn't seem to sit right with me, but this vegan protein causes no issues whatever. Tastes awesome too.

Better than some other vegan proteins I have tried but sometimes doesn't mix too well. I will buy again

It's pretty good .. bit chalky though Rating: 4 out of 5
Rich Chocolate

This powder mixes really well but it has a noticeable chalky mouth feel. If you add it to smoothies though you won't notice that at all.

Hands-down AMAZING Rating: 5 out of 5
French Vanilla

Quite frankly, I absolutely DETEST and AVOID vanilla-flavoured protein powders (or vanilla-flavoured anything, to be honest). I find them bland and boring. BUT. I have faith in True Protein products, having had both their whey protein and TruePro3 before, and TP always has my back with flavouring. So I bought 1kg of their VEGAN85 in vanilla, as I wanted something new. I was not disappointed. The moment you open the bag, you don't smell artificial sweeteners or flavours. You get a pleasant scent of gentle vanilla - and this is what I see natural ingredients and quality products have: no strong or artificial smells. So thank you, TP, for producing an amazing product with top-notch standards! Loving the vanilla flavour, and will definitely buy again!

I've tried both the Natural and Chocolate flavours and was surprised by how great they taste. Natural is perfect for those homemade smoothies and Chocolate for a post workout shake. Happy days.

Accidentally bought it Rating: 3 out of 5
Natural

This flavour is not my cup of tea but however my partner likes it. If you want sweet this isn’t your cup of tea either. I accidentally bought this flavour. I meant to buy vanilla which is amazing and goes great with eveything. But if you are after something with no sugar this is the one for you

Suggested Use

Add 1 Large TP Scoop (30g) to 200ml-250ml of liquid of your choice. Shake and consume. Consume 1-3 servings daily or as required.

True Protein recommends as a guideline 1.5 to 2 grams of protein per kilogram of bodyweight. This recommendation is based on the assumption that your goals are to build lean muscle and enhance recovery. This translates to an 80kg person taking roughly 120g to 160g of protein per day. We recommend that you fulfill this quota through a combination of wholefoods and protein supplementation.
