WPI90 Banana Bread

Makes 1 loaf (10 slices)

Prep time: 15 minutes

Baking time: 40-50 minutes


1/3 cup grapeseed oil + additional for greasing
1 cup wholemeal plain flour
1 cup almond meal
2 scoops True Protein WPI 90 French Vanilla Protein Powder
½ tsp sea salt
2 tsp baking powder
½ tsp baking soda
2 tsp True Protein Cinnamon Powder
½ tsp ground nutmeg
3 ripe bananas, mashed (about 1½ cups)
2/3 cup coconut sugar
3 large eggs
½ cup almond milk
½ cup Greek yogurt
1 tsp vanilla extract


  1. Grease a large loaf tin with grapeseed oil and preheat the oven to 175 degrees Celsius

  2. In a large bowl combine the flour, almond meal, protein powder, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt

  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together the eggs and sugar then add in the mashed banana, yoghurt, almond milk, and vanilla then mix until thoroughly combined

  4. Pour the wet mixture into the dry mixture and carefully fold until just combined, do not over-mix or the loaf will be dense

  5. Place the tin into the oven and bake for 40-50 minutes or until a skewer comes out clean when inserted into the center. Allow to cool for an hour before removing from the tin and cutting
