Tia-Clair Toomey is victorious in 2018 CrossFit® Games

True Protein Athlete Tia-Clair Toomey has been crowned Fittest Woman on Earth in an incredible display of strength at the 2018 CrossFit® Games, defending her title for the second year running.

Brisbane girl Tia-Clair competed in the gruelling five-day event, which culminated in Wisconsin, USA last night, to become one of only a handful of competitors awarded CrossFit® champion status twice, making this a killer year for the talented Australian weightlifter who also won Gold in April’s Commonwealth Games.

Fuelled by True Protein’s all-natural supplements, we followed Tia on her journey to the Games as she prepared to undertake workouts that included a marathon row, weight lifting, bar muscle-ups and handstand push-ups with the big podium finish set firmly in her sights.

The CrossFit® Games is one of the toughest global sporting events where the world’s 40 fittest men and 40 fittest women compete for the title ‘Fittest on Earth’, undertaking 14 intense workouts for the privilege. Toomey has now competed in four CrossFit® Games, finishing second in her first two competitions before claiming the back-to-back wins.

True Protein signed Tia-Clair as a sponsored athlete in March this year, powering training sessions with her two favourite supplements: WPI90 and Pre. The 58kg-Olympian trains for up to 40 hours per week to stay in peak physical fitness and takes protein before and after every workout, as well as in her breakfast oats and snacks.
