Why?
Packaged foods sold in Australia are required by law to comply with Plain English Allergen Labelling (PEAL). Revisions to these laws were made in February 2021, with businesses given until February 2024 to have all packaging updated with the new requirements.
What are the changes?
In line with PEAL, allergen information must be declared with a specific format and location on food labels using simple, plain English terms. PEAL has also impacted the way in which we must list certain ingredients.
We have taken this opportunity to review our Directions for Use, transitioning away from plastic scoops and towards standard units of measurement (learn more about this initiative here), and to cross-check the accuracy of our Nutritional Information Panels.
What to expect
During this transition phase, you may notice information is represented slightly differently from product to product. This is because it will take over 18 months to complete the transition as we phase in the new packaging across our entire range. Though there may be some differences in ingredients or nutritional information, we can assure you that our product formulas have not changed.
While we work diligently to finalise the updated information on our product labels, we recommend that you always refer to the product webpage as the source of truth for the most accurate and up-to-date product information. Our webpage is regularly maintained and updated to provide the latest details regarding our products.
