Jess is a CrossFit Games athlete from Sydney who has made a passion for health and fitness as her lifestyle. She owns two CrossFit affiliates, CrossFit Norwest and CrossFit Norwest McGraths Hill, as well as an online programming business RAW Strength and Conditioning. She absolutely loves animals, having way too many fur children, and on the side fostering kittens for Animal Welfare League NSW.
How often do you train?
I train 7 days a week, one of these being an active recovery session, which usually involves a long, slower modality such as a swim, run or ride. On my normal training days, I generally perform two sessions, one is usually skill and strength based, with a short conditioning piece. The second is usually conditioning based.
Do you have a favourite training song or quote you train by?
“Work hard and you can’t be disappointed” – if I know I have given everything in my training, recovery and general preparation then if the cards don’t fall my way, I can be upset but not disappointed in my efforts.
How do you take your supplements?
I use supplements to enhance my lifestyle and athletic performance and maximise my recovery! Things you’ll find in my cupboard that I use daily include WPI90, Pre Workout, BCAAs, Post Workout, ZMA and Greens – all from the True Protein range.
What is your favourite True Protein supplement and why?
WPI90 Coffee Mocha flavour – I am an absolute addict. It combines my loves for coffee, chocolate and protein powders. You’ll find it in my oats and smoothies!
