Moringa: The Rising Star of Superfoods

Moringa oleifera, a plant native to the Himalayas and northern India, is definitely something you should be keeping an eye out for. Packed full of nutrients, minerals and protein, moringa earns its name as a superfood.

Moringa leaves contain 25 times more iron than spinach, 17 times more calcium than milk, 15 times the Potassium of bananas, 12 times more Vitamin C than oranges and 10 times the Vitamin A of carrots.

The recommended daily intake of moringa is just one teaspoon, but that small amount goes a long way. Moringa benefits the cardiovascular system, helps with diabetes, supports brain and liver health, and reduces the risk of various cancers. It can also help slow down the signs of ageing thanks to a boost of antioxidants, balance female hormones, enhance wound healing, prevent blood clotting and fight inflammation!
