Stephanie began sprinting in 2013 where she claimed her title as the NSW Country Champion in the 100m and 200m events for several years. Previously she grew up dancing for 18 years and played as part of the team for the 2012 AFL Youth Girls Australian All Stars Team.
Since pursuing her passion in Athletics as a full-time athlete, Stephanie has won the 2018 International Women’s Day Kerryn McCann Scholarship, 2nd in the 60m State Championship (2019) and has been part of two relay teams breaking two NSW records in the 4 x 100m and Medley Relay. She looks forward to the rest of her season including NSW State Championships in March and Nationals in April 2019.
How often do you train?
I train 6 days a week – 4 track days and 2 gym days. Some days I can have up to 2 sessions depending on what part of my season I am in.
Do you have a favourite training song or quote you train by?
Favourite song is “Untouched” by Veronicas. Definitely a good pump up song for my training partner and I on our long drives to training.
Fav quote: “If you are not encountering defeat on a regular basis, you are not trying hard enough”
How do you take your supplements?
Before training, I like to use Cluster Dextrin and Creatine Magna to help keep me fueled for my session. As part of my recovery, I take Post Workout in Rich Chocolate after every session. This allows me to consume the perfect balance between carbohydrates and protein when traveling home from training. As well as this my pre-bed routine is to have my Greens and ZMA, which helps me sleep and recover well for training the next day.
What is your favourite True Protein supplement and why?
I love Post Workout as I struggle to eat after training so it has the perfect combination of protein and carbohydrates to help me recover. Also, ZMA is a must and Mug Cake for all my dessert cravings.
