Bio

In 1991 South Australian football took a giant leap into a national competition with the introduction of the Adelaide Football Club, known as the Adelaide Crows.

Today, 27 years later, the Club is one of the most successful elite sporting organisations in Australia and plays an integral role in the South Australian community.

With teams in the Australian Football League, AFL Women’s competition, and South Australian Football League, the Club delivers leading men’s and women’s football programs as well as deep and aligned partnerships with commercial organisations and the community.

Adelaide won its first AFL premiership in its seventh season (1997) and then won a second one the next year, in 1998.

In 2017, the AFL team finished minor premiers and made it to the AFL Grand Final where they were defeated by Richmond. In the same year, the Crows women’s team made history by winning the premiership in the inaugural AFL Women’s Competition.

With more than 600,000 fans who are considered to be among the most engaged and passionate in Australian sport, the Club’s supporter base would be the envy of many sporting clubs around the world.
