Mocha Coffee Protein Shakes

Coffee + Chocolate = Delicious! We all know that coffee and chocolate is a winning combination but if you’re trying to cut back on refined sugar and other nasties then these decadent mocha-inspired recipes will do the trick.

Vanilla-almond

Using True Protein Organic Cacao, this nutty vanilla shake makes for a perfect energy-boosting treat packed with powerful antioxidants.

Ingredients

1 scoop (30g) True Premium Whey Isolate French Vanilla

1 cup almond milk

30ml espresso

2 pitted dates

2 tsp True Organic Cacao

1/2 tsp True Cinnamon Powder

Method

​1. Add all of the ingredients to a blender and blitz until smooth.

Chocolate-banana

This creamy cool chocolate shake combined with a boost of caffeine is pure decadence. It only takes a minute to make and is the perfect grab-and-go after a sweaty workout for an instant protein hit.​

Ingredients

1 serve (30g) True Premium Whey Isolate Rich Chocolate
30ml espresso
1 cup almond milk
2 pitted dates
Half a frozen banana​

Method

1. Add all ingredients to a blender and process until smooth.
2. Serve, sip and enjoy!

Note​: Dates add sweetness to your shake. Jam-packed with essential minerals like magnesium, calcium, selenium and iron, dates are great for strengthening bones.
